Starting to Coupon
I had lost my job and felt so lost. I knew I had to take care of my son and myself. How was I going to do this? I was so unsure. I was watching TLC one day and Extreme Couponers was on. I forgot how awesome I thought that it was to do that. Have my very own stock pile. So I did some research and found some beginners tips. Here are some tips that helped me.
1. Create your own stockpile of Coupons. They come in the Sunday paper, magazines, you can find them online, also there are services that offer to clip coupons for you, at a very minimal price.
2. Organize your coupons. This will make finding them a lot easier and faster. Try using these categories; Bathroom (deodorant, toothpaste, soap, razors, toilet paper) Cleaning, Laundry room (detergent, drier sheets) Kitchen, Home, Feminine, Grocery, and Misc. In the miscellaneous category I put coupons for crayons and kids stuff.
3. Look for deals online. I always check what deals I could use, before I leave the house. I like to use the site couponmom.com. That site has the best lists for anything you might need. I also use the store apps on my phone. On the apps you can download coupons right to your savings card.
There is a lot of information on couponing. I actually find it relaxing to coupon. I do it when Bean is sleeping and its quiet. Because as a mom we all know how much we love silence! Am I right Mamas? Keep coming back, the more I learn the more I can share. So if you have any tips of your own share! We can all use some different prospective!
